Crvena Zvezda hosted Asvel in Belgrade tonight at 7 PM in Round 7 of the EuroLeague, with the home team claiming the win 78:65.
Crvena Zvezda was without Jordan Nwora, Jasiel Rivero, Tyson Carter, Joel Bolomboy, Devontae Graham, Isaiah Canaan, and Jared Butler, while Asvel missed Thomas Heurtel and Shaquille Harrison.
Before this round, Crvena Zvezda sat 5th in the standings with a 4-2 record, while Asvel had only two wins in the first six games and ranked 16th.

In the second half, there was only one team on the court – Crvena Zvezda. Sasa Obradovic’s squad played phenomenally, quickly extending their lead to over 20 points. It became clear that the visitors from Lyon had no chance in this game and that the outcome was decided.
In the third quarter, Semi Ojeleye, who had struggled earlier, finally woke up. The final period saw no major developments – the home team protected their lead and smartly closed out the game, ultimately securing the victory –
Chima Moneke led Crvena Zvezda to victory with 24 points in just 21 minutes on the court, while Semi Ojeleye added 11 points. For Asvel, Melvin Ajinca stood out with 13 points, and Mbaye Ndiaye contributed 10.
At the same time, Zalgiris hosted Virtus in Kaunas, with the home team taking the victory 86:65.
Zalgiris played without Dovydas Giedraitis and Nigel Williams-Goss, while Virtus was missing Abramo Canka.
Both Virtus and Zalgiris had four wins each in the first six rounds.

At the start of the game, we witnessed one of the most dominant openings of the EuroLeague season – Zalgiris went on an incredible run, leading 17-2. Dusko Ivanovic’s squad struggled to find solutions on both ends of the court, trailing 25-11 after the first quarter.
In the second period, the visitors from Bologna managed to regroup and impose their game. Alen Smailagic played a key role, contributing important plays on both sides of the floor. After 20 minutes in Kaunas, the score stood at 42-33.

The third quarter was completely even on both ends. Zalgiris maintained their earlier lead and successfully repelled Virtus’ attacks. Virtus showed that their first-quarter struggles were just a brief lapse, not a true reflection of their quality.
However, the Lithuanian powerhouse managed to nullify all of the visitors’ efforts in the final period, securing an important victory in front of their home fans – 86:65.
Sylvain Francisco led Zalgiris to victory with 20 points, while Moses Wright added 14. For Virtus, Matt Morgan contributed 19 points, and Alen Smailagic added 12.
