Dimitris Itoudis was not in the best mood when responding to one of the journalist’s questions following his team’s 104-100 loss.
“How do you feel about having worked in Russia, a terrorist country, during the war?”
The journalist didn’t even get to finish the question…
“Are you serious? Ask someone else. I’m not a politician, I’m a basketball coach. Sports unite. And now you’re bringing this up? I have many players from different parts of the world,” the Greek coach fired back.
“Sports unite! Sports unite! That’s what you should emphasize,” stressed the visibly frustrated Dimitris Itoudis.
Let us recall that the Greek coach earned his greatest reputation as the head coach of CSKA Moscow, after which he attempted to replicate similar success with Fenerbahce but was unsuccessful.
