The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers at home last night with a score of 119-115 in the NBA.
However, something else drew far more attention than the final score: Luka Doncic suffered a hamstring injury. He played just 15 minutes on the court, during which he scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds, and dished out two assists.
Luka Doncic himself was visibly frustrated after suffering the injury, kicking the advertising boards as he left the court, which only suggests that the hamstring issue may be serious.

After the game, Lakers coach JJ Redick spoke about Luka Doncic’s injury, but even he did not yet know the exact severity of the hamstring issue.
“He got some soreness in his hamstring. He didn’t feel like it was good enough to go back in, neither did the medical staff. So we held him out. He’ll get some imaging. Too early to say if any injury, but just had a sore hamstring.”
After this win, the Los Angeles Lakers improved to 31-19 and will host the Golden State Warriors in their next game. It remains to be seen what condition Luka Doncic will be in and when he will return to the court, but it’s clear that any serious injury to him would have a significant impact on the team’s results.
