Panathinaikos defeated Olympiacos 93-86 at home in Game 4 of the Greek League Finals, tying the series at 2-2 and forcing a decisive Game 5.
Powered by an excellent performance from Kendrick Nunn, Panathinaikos held the advantage after the opening 10 minutes. The American guard got off to a strong start from beyond the arc, knocking down two of his first three attempts.
Both teams heavily relied on three-point shooting early on, but neither found much success from deep. However, Ergin Ataman’s squad was more efficient inside the arc, shooting 5-for-10 on two-point attempts, which helped them build a comfortable six-point lead heading into halftime.
Olympiacos threatened to turn the game around in the second half and even managed to draw level at one point, but the hosts refused to surrender the lead. Nunn continued to shine, while Evan Fournier once again provided a major offensive spark for Georgios Bartzokas‘ side. Nevertheless, the visitors completed a comeback late in the third quarter, with Cory Joseph and Tyrique Jones scoring key baskets to give Olympiacos a four-point lead entering the final 10 minutes.

The fourth quarter featured multiple lead changes. Nunn scored five consecutive points to put Panathinaikos back in front, but Fournier quickly responded on the other end, but the American got his 5th foul and finished game early.
With one minute remaining in regulation, both teams had opportunities to secure the victory. Juancho Hernangomez missed a corner three-pointer for Panathinaikos, while Sasha Vezenkov failed to convert on the next possession, sending the game into overtime.
Olympiacos started the extra period strongly, taking control of both the scoreboard and the momentum. However, Panathinaikos kept fighting. Dinos Mitoglou had a chance to give the hosts the lead with 37 seconds remaining, but converted only one of his two free throws, leaving the score tied at 79-79.
On the following possession, Joseph missed a three-point attempt, and Vasileios Toliopoulos was also unable to connect from long range, sending the contest into a second overtime. Panathinaikos’ leading scorer Nunn had already fouled out during regulation, but his teammates still found a way to keep their title hopes alive.
In the second overtime, T.J. Shorts took over. The playmaker scored seven points in the extra session, providing stability and confidence for the Athens side. Toliopoulos then put the finishing touch on the victory with a clutch three-pointer, securing the win and forcing a winner-take-all Game 5 in Piraeus.
Nunn led Panathinaikos with 23 points, while Shorts added 13. For Olympiacos, Fournier finished as the game’s top scorer with 29 points.
