The rest of the game was played very physically. Kostas Sloukas stepped up for the home team, scoring 8 consecutive points in the third quarter to give his team a noticeable lead. Zalgiris tried to catch up with their rival, but the much stronger Athenian lineup did not allow any surprises, and the home team secured an important victory in the battle for a EuroLeague playoff spot.

At the same time, a match took place between Paris and Asvel, with the home team winning 90-81, also in the 31st round of the EuroLeague.
The home team was extremely inefficient in the first half, allowing Asvel to dictate the rhythm of the game. The visitors took advantage of this and went into halftime with the lead. However, in the second half, Justin Robinson stepped up for the home team, creating a lead that would prove insurmountable for the visitors until the final whistle.
