Virtus confirmed that Vildoza signed a three-year contract with the team, and Basketball Sphere has learned that the Argentine will earn 4 million euros during that period.
Luca Vildoza shared his first impressions after signing with the Italian club:
“I’m happy to be a new Virtus player and to join this family! I can’t wait to meet my teammates and step on the court cheered on by the fans! See you soon and Forza Virtus!”
Luca Vildoza didn’t shine in an Olympiacos jersey, averaging 4.8 points, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 rebounds over 33 EuroLeague games. His numbers were even lower in the Greek Basket League, where he averaged 3.6 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 rebounds across 17 appearances.
Before joining Olympiacos, Vildoza also played for Panathinaikos, Crvena Zvezda, the Milwaukee Bucks, Baskonia, and Quilmes.
The Virtus team will undergo major roster changes this summer. Tornike Shengelia, the team’s best player, will strengthen Barcelona, while Marco Belinelli will retire. Isaia Cordinier and Will Clyburn are also on their way out, making it clear that the Bologna club is expecting a significant overhaul.
