Xavi Pascual, head coach of Barcelona, spoke to the media after the match from Round 32 of the Liga Endesa against Tenerife on the road.
In recent days, Pascual has been heavily linked with Dubai, which is reportedly interested in appointing the Spanish coach to lead the team next season. However, nothing has been confirmed yet, especially as Barcelona is in the process of building an entirely new roster, with expectations that he could be the one to lead the reconstructed squad.
At the post-game press conference following the win against the “Canaries,” he said:
“I am currently focused on this team, which I want to bring into the playoffs in the best possible condition. At the end of the season we will see what happens.”
He then added:
“I cannot control the rumors that are circulating. Since my arrival here, there has been talk about everything and anything. I am currently focused only on this season, and then we will see,” Xavi Pascual made it clear.
Barcelona will visit Andorra in the next round of the Liga Endesa.
