Zach LeDay has officially brought his second spell with Milano to an end, and the veteran forward made sure to thank everyone connected with the club before beginning the next chapter of his career.
LeDay departed Milano on Monday after two successful seasons, with multiple reports indicating that he is expected to complete a move to Hapoel Tel Aviv in the coming days. Although the transfer has long been anticipated, the American forward first took the time to bid an emotional farewell to the Italian powerhouse.
LeDay reflects on his time in Milano
This was LeDay’s second stint with Milano, having previously worn the club’s jersey during the 2020/21 season before returning two years later.
During his second spell, he helped Milano capture the 2026 Serie A title, the 2026 Italian Cup, and back-to-back Italian Super Cups in 2024 and 2025, once again establishing himself as one of the team’s most important players.
In the 2025/26 EuroLeague season, LeDay appeared in 30 games, averaging 13.1 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting an outstanding 49.5% from three-point range, one of the best marks among forwards in the competition.
Nothing but respect.

“Milano, thank you for everything”
Following his official departure, LeDay shared an emotional message on Instagram thanking the organization, his teammates and the fans.
“Milano,
Thank you for everything.
From the first day I returned, my family and I felt more than welcomed. To my teammates, coaches, the front office, medical staff, everyone behind the scenes, and the incredible fans – thank you for believing in me and supporting me every step of the way.
We shared unforgettable moments, battled through adversity, won trophies together, and created memories that I’ll always carry with me. Wearing this jersey twice was an honor, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to represent this historic club.
Thank you for embracing my family and making Milano feel like home. The relationships we’ve built will last far beyond basketball.
Ci vediamo più tardi, GRAZIE A TUTTI.”
A new chapter awaits at Hapoel Tel Aviv
LeDay now appears set to continue his career with Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he is expected to become one of the biggest signings of the Israeli club’s ambitious offseason.
The 32-year-old brings a wealth of EuroLeague experience, having previously played for Partizan, Zalgiris, Olympiacos, Hapoel Gilboa Galil, and Milano across two separate spells.
After another highly productive season in Milano, LeDay leaves with trophies, memorable performances and the respect of the club’s supporters, while Hapoel Tel Aviv looks ready to add one of Europe’s most proven forwards to its roster.
