Zach LeDay is officially a new Hapoel Tel Aviv player.
The Israeli club announced on Monday that the experienced EuroLeague forward has signed a two-year contract, continuing one of the busiest offseasons in Europe. LeDay becomes Hapoel’s third official signing of the summer and the second to be confirmed in as many days, following the arrival of Khadeen Carrington.
One of the EuroLeague’s most consistent forwards arrives in Tel Aviv
LeDay joins Hapoel after two excellent seasons with Milano, where he once again established himself as one of the top forwards in European basketball.
During the 2025/26 EuroLeague campaign, the 32-year-old averaged 13.1 points and 4.2 rebounds across 30 appearances while shooting an outstanding 49.5% from three-point range, one of the best percentages among forwards in the competition.
His second spell in Milano also brought team success, as he helped Olimpia capture the 2026 Serie A title, the 2026 Italian Cup, and consecutive Italian Super Cups in 2024 and 2025.
Before returning to Milano, LeDay built an impressive EuroLeague résumé with Partizan, Zalgiris, Olympiacos and Hapoel Gilboa Galil, making him one of the most experienced frontcourt players on the European market.

LeDay: Let’s chase greatness together
After signing his contract, LeDay shared his excitement about joining the ambitious Israeli club.
“I am incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to join Hapoel Tel Aviv. From the very beginning, I felt the ambition of this club and the belief in what we are building together. I can’t wait to get to work, represent this organization and compete in front of our amazing fans. Let’s chase greatness together and make history. Yalla Hapoel.”
Hinas and Itoudis welcome the new signing
Sporting director George Hinas described LeDay as one of the most important additions of the summer.
“It is a great privilege for us to welcome Zach to the Hapoel family. He has established himself in European basketball as a true warrior and elite competitor. His versatility allows him to play multiple frontcourt positions, and he will add a new dimension to our game.”
Head coach Dimitris Itoudis also praised the arrival of the veteran forward.
“I would like to welcome Zach to our family. He is highly motivated to help build our culture at Hapoel. He can play both the four and the five, improved his game significantly last season, especially with his outside shooting, and brings tremendous EuroLeague experience. We are delighted to have him and look forward to seeing him on the court.”
Hapoel’s ambitious offseason continues
LeDay becomes Hapoel Tel Aviv’s third official signing of the summer after the arrivals of former NBA forward Amir Coffey and Israeli international Khadeen Carrington. The club is also expected to complete deals for Tomas Satoransky and Tamir Blatt in the coming weeks.
At the same time, Hapoel has secured the future of several key players by extending the contracts of Dan Oturu, Antonio Blakeney, Tai Odiase, Elijah Bryant and Ish Wainright.
On the departure side, Chris Jones joined Crvena Zvezda, Kessler Edwards signed with Virtus, Yam Madar moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv, while Levi Randolph also left the club.
