Zalgiris were convincing on the road against Lietkabelis, winning 95–75 to take a 2–0 lead in the semifinal series of the Lithuanian Basketball League.
Zalgiris also won the first game comfortably against the team coached by Nenad Canak, and with this victory they are now one step away from reaching the final.
Lietkabelis stayed competitive in the first quarter despite a brilliant start from Sylvain Francisco, who was unstoppable offensively and also created for his teammates. However, Zalgiris went into the first break with a slight lead (20–19). Moreover, led by Lazar Mutic and Nikola Radicevic, Lietkabelis even managed to briefly take the lead early in the second quarter, but it did not last long. Zalgiris quickly regained control and went into halftime ahead 42–36.
Once Sylvain Francisco and Azuolas Tubelis both got going, it became clear that the game was slipping away from Lietkabelis. The situation completely collapsed when head coach Nenad Canak, frustrated with refereeing decisions, was ejected after protesting, and the home team’s momentum completely faded. Zalgiris built a 20-point lead, which they maintained comfortably heading into the final quarter (74–56).

The fourth quarter followed the same pattern. Every time Lietkabelis tried to make a run, Zalgiris responded immediately and kept full control of the game until the final buzzer.
The best performers for Zalgiris were Sylvain Francisco with 27 points and Azuolas Tubelis with 24. For Lietkabelis, the top scorer was Jamel Morris with 15 points.
Zalgiris now lead the series 2–0 and will have a chance in front of their home fans on Sunday to secure a place in the Lithuanian Basketball League final.
