Last season, Wright played 18 EuroLeague games for the Piraeus-based club, averaging 5.8 points and 2.6 rebounds. In the Greek League, he appeared in just seven games, where he posted a slightly better average of 11.7 points and 5.4 rebounds.
Upon joining Zalgiris, Wright expressed his satisfaction:
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to play for Zalgiris. I have heard a lot of great things about the fans, the organization and the city of Kaunas. Everyone I spoke to said it will be the best place to develop in Europe. You will be able to go there and really show everyone who Moses Wright is. I’m really looking forward to stepping on the court in Kaunas.”
In his career, before Olympiacos, Wright also played for Merkezefendi, Shanxi Brave Dragons, Zhejiang Golden Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Texas Legends, Los Angeles Clippers, and Agua Caliente Clippers.
Prior to Wright, Zalgiris had already announced two more signings: Nigel Williams-Goss, who also arrives from Olympiacos, and Dustin Sleva from Besiktas.
