Zalgiris have suffered a setback ahead of the new season, as Saben Lee is expected to miss several weeks after suffering a hamstring strain.
The American guard, who joined the Lithuanian club this summer, will now spend time on the sidelines as he begins his recovery.
Saben Lee to miss upcoming tournament
Zalgiris have confirmed that Saben Lee has suffered a hamstring injury and will be sidelined for a few weeks.
As a result, the 27-year-old guard will miss the upcoming preseason tournament in London, where Zalgiris are scheduled to face Paris on September 10. Depending on the results of the other games, they will then face either London Lions or Slask Wrocław on September 11.
The injury comes at an unfortunate time for Zalgiris, who are continuing their preparations for the upcoming EuroLeague season and integrating several new additions into their roster.

Lee coming off productive season in Europe
Saben Lee joined Zalgiris after a season in which he started with Olympiacos before moving to Anadolu Efes, where he became a valuable backcourt option during his time in Istanbul.
Across 27 EuroLeague appearances, the American guard averaged 8.0 points, 1.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 7.9 PIR per game.
The 188 cm guard has built a diverse professional career since entering the NBA in 2020, making appearances for the Detroit Pistons, Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns. After leaving the NBA, he continued his career in Europe, playing for Manisa, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Olympiacos and Anadolu Efes before joining Zalgiris.
Lee has also enjoyed notable individual moments outside the EuroLeague. In 2024, he scored 43 points in a FIBA Champions League game, tying the competition’s single-game scoring record.
