Ostoja Mijailovic, Partizan’s president, discussed how much Zeljko Obradovic contributes to ticket sales for the team’s games.
Dusko Vujosevic was asked whether there were specific reasons why he doesn’t attend Partizan games, which led to a discussion about tickets. In one conversation, he revealed that Zeljko Obradovic had invited him to the games and offered him a seat in the second row of the Belgrade Arena.
The former Partizan coach believes his place is courtside, which is why Ostoja Mijailovic revealed that absolutely no one receives free tickets. He also pointed out that even Zeljko Obradovic spends his own money to secure seats in the arena for some friends and guests from abroad.
“Zeljko Obradovic spends over €100,000 annually on tickets, personally purchasing and paying for them. I eliminated free tickets in the front row—that doesn’t apply to Dusko [Vujosevic], but it does to everyone else,” said Ostoja Mijailovic. “Front-row seats can only be purchased by club sponsors, and each ticket costs €10,000.”
“This year, we are generating 10 million euros from tickets, almost half of the budget. 98% of the tickets in the front row are for sponsors. Zeljko Obradovic spends 100,000 euros a year on tickets. No one has ever personally told me or forbade me from allowing Dusko to attend Partizan’s games or told me where he can sit. I believe Dusko should be in the arena and should come to Partizan’s games.
I have nothing against it, and no one has told me that he can’t come. The rules are clear for everyone, including my family. My company is a sponsor of Partizan, 1 million euros annually goes to the club. I buy tickets for my wife and me. Pesić bought tickets for friends from Munich, Kicanović bought tickets for his son as well. I have no problem buying a ticket for DuSko,” said Ostoja.
