Coby White played a brilliant game in which his Chicago Bulls secured a convincing win against the Atlanta Hawks by 131:116.
The end of an extremely turbulent season has arrived for the Atlanta Hawks, who will have to assess their best options during the summer. Throughout the regular season, it was more than clear that the ceiling for this team could potentially be the first round of the playoffs. However, the Chicago Bulls showed them that even that is currently far from their reach.
The opening of the game belonged entirely to the home team. The nonexistent defense of the Atlanta Hawks allowed the Chicago Bulls to score a staggering 40 points in the first 12 minutes of play, resulting in an 18-point lead. Admittedly, thanks to excellent offense, the Hawks managed to claw back in the second quarter and reduce the deficit to just six points by halftime.
However, that was all the Atlanta Hawks offered in this game. In the third quarter, the Chicago Bulls established absolute dominance and relatively easily regained the lead they had in the first half of the game. In the final quarter, they simply closed out the game routinely and set up a match against the Miami Heat for a spot in the NBA playoffs.
Coby White was phenomenal, scoring 42 points for the winning team while also dishing out six assists and grabbing nine rebounds. Nikola Vucevic also had a great game with 24 points and 12 rebounds. As for the Atlanta Hawks, Dejounte Murray scored 30 points, and Bogdan Bogdanovic had another solid performance with 21 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
