Nikola Jokic, player of the Denver Nuggets, appeared at the press conference following his team’s win against Los Angeles Lakers in the second game of the NBA Western Conference quarterfinals playoffs series.
Nikola Jokic commented on the game and the heroic performance of Denver Nuggets’ Jamal Murray. Murray didn’t play well until the fourth quarter, but then he started hitting shots, and the peak was the buzzer-beater that brought the Nuggets the win.
“He just needed a little bit to get hot. He had a couple of easy shots and he made that kind of shot. We trust him, even if he struggles. amal took the ball and we had 13 seconds to score. They put LeBron James on Jamal and Anthony Davis on me so they can switch pick-and-roll.
We tried to put Caldwell-Pope in it to make them play coverage and not switch pick-and-rolls. We did not achieve that, they still switched. Jamal made a tough shot that he can actually make, of course,” said Nikola Jokic.
Nikola Jokic was the best player for his team in this game. He achieved another triple-double, scoring 27 points, grabbing 20 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists.
