Tyler Herro played a fantastic game in the Miami Heat’s win against the Boston Celtics on the road by 101:111.
Miami Heat faces a significant challenge in this NBA series due to the absence of Jimmy Butler. Despite the first game suggesting that the Boston Celtics would have an easy time for the rest of the season, it has once again been proven that Erik Spoelstra’s team plays above all expectations.
It was clear early in the game that the visitors came in much more aggressively compared to the previous encounter. Bam Adebayo did an excellent job on both ends of the court, preventing the Boston Celtics from easy points in the paint. Both teams’ defenses eased up slightly during the second quarter, and the hosts went into halftime with a three-point lead.
The third quarter was pivotal. Tyler Herro reminded everyone of his pre-injury days and led a brilliant surge by the visiting team. On the other hand, Adebayo spearheaded a strong defensive effort, and the Heat turned the game around, entering the decisive 12 minutes with a six-point lead.
From that point on, the Miami Heat played excellent basketball, establishing a rhythm that suited them. They didn’t allow Jayson Tatum to get going in the final quarter, shutting down his access to the paint and forcing him to take tough shots. This deprived the Boston Celtics of their main weapon, and the Miami Heat secured a crucial victory ahead of two games in front of their home crowd.
Herro was the top scorer for the winning team with 24 points and 14 assists, while Caleb Martin and Adebayo added 21 points each, with Adebayo also grabbing 10 rebounds. On the other side, Jaylen Brown scored 33 points, and Tatum contributed 28. The rest of the team had limited contributions, with Al Horford being the only other player in double digits with 13 points.
The next game is scheduled for Sunday at 00:00.
