The Denver Nuggets are one win away from advancing to the next round, with Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon being the main contributors.
One of the NBA playoff series nearing its end. An incredible loss in the second game dealt a heavy blow to the Los Angeles Lakers and their team, leading to another defeat, this time in front of their home crowd. To make matters worse for them, they started the game better once again.
The home team entered the game much more aggressively. Solid defense gave them a double-digit lead during the first half, but the visitors didn’t panic. Learned from their experience in the second game, they played calmly and went into halftime trailing by just four points.
The third quarter was a turning point in the game. The outstanding Nikola Jokic found his teammates, and the defense held strong, leading to a 13-2 run. This put the Nuggets in a double-digit lead for the first time. Any potential comeback from the home team was routinely thwarted, resulting in a final score of 105:112 in favor of the visiting team.
The top performer for the winning team was Aaron Gordon with 29 points and 15 rebounds, while Jamal Murray added 22. Nikola Jokic once again shined with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists. As for the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis contributed 33 points alongside 15 rebounds, LeBron James added 26, and Austin Reaves scored 22 points.
The next game is scheduled for early Sunday morning at 2:30 AM.
