Crvena Zvezda leads 2-0 against Partizan in the final series, with a win of 80:73 in front of their home crowd, in the ABA League.
Injured Nikola Topic didn’t play for the home team, while Ognjen Jaramaz and Balsa Koprivica were absent for the visitors.
The first half was very similar to the previous encounter. The black-and-white team had a better start, but the opponent managed to come back successfully. Thanks to Nemanja Nedovic, who scored 21 points in those 20 minutes, they were in control. However, a better finish to the second quarter helped Partizan equalize, and the teams went into halftime with a tied score.
In the following, there was a struggle for Partizan in offense, where there was no help from James Nunnally or Kevin Punter, which Crvena Zvezda knew how to exploit and finish the game in their favor, bringing them closer to the trophy.
The top scorer for the winners was Nemanja Nedovic with 21 points, and Joel Bolomboy was the only other player in double figures with 10 points. Jaleen Smith led the opponents with 12 points, while Zach Leday, PJ Dozier, and Bruno Caboclo added 11 points each.
In Game 3, Partizan will be the host. The game is scheduled for Sunday at 8:30 PM.
