Anthony Edwards, a player of the Minnesota Timberwolves, spoke to the media ahead of the fourth game against the Denver Nuggets.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have not performed well in the series against the Mavericks so far. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have been capitalizing on every mistake made by the Timberwolves, and the Mavericks currently hold a 3-0 lead in the series.
Given the circumstances, it wouldn’t be surprising for the Mavericks to sweep the series. However, Anthony Edwards expressed his belief in his team, stating that he does not believe the Mavericks will complete the sweep.
“Time to make history. I still don’t feel like they can beat us, bro. We haven’t all been clicking at one time. One game. One game”, Edwards said.
His call to action showcases his determination and leadership, urging his team to defy the odds. Despite the grim historical context—no NBA team has ever recovered from a 3-0 deficit in the playoffs, with 154 teams failing to do so—Edwards remains undeterred.
Minnesota’s top players have struggled in this series. Edwards has posted 22.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists on 38.6% from the field and 33.3% from 3-point range, while Karl-Anthony Towns has averaged a mere 15.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting 27.8% from the field and 13.6% from 3-point range.
