Uros Plavsic has officially become the new player of Crvena zvezda, as confirmed on the club’s website from Mali Kalemegdan.
The former Mega center was confirmed at the end-of-season press conference by the club’s president, Nebojsa Covic. Now, the official confirmation has arrived.
The Serbian player started his career “overseas.” He attended Hamilton High School, then studied and spent four years at the University of Tennessee. From then on he returned to Serbia, to be more precise Mega.
He impressed many fans in Mega’s pink jersey. Uros Plavsic averaged 15.4 points per game and also grabbed 7.7 rebounds per game. The club also confirmed that he will wear number 33 next season, the same number Freddie Gillespie wore last season. His contract is valid until the end of the 2026/2027 season. With this signing, Crvena Zvezda has started its transfer summer, and before this, the red and whites extended the contract with Rokas Giedraitis. Also, Crvena Zvezda has signed Joel Bolomboy to a new two-year deal. That signing will almost set the center line of the red and whites for a couple of years.
