After losing the third game of the NBA Finals, Luka Doncic sharply criticized the referees for calling six fouls on him.
The Slovenian player committed his sixth foul four minutes before the end of the game, forcing him to sit on the bench. However, he was displeased with the officiating in this game and issued a public critique.
“We couldn’t play physically strong basketball. I don’t know, I don’t want to say anything. You know, six fouls in the NBA Finals and I have to be like this (he spread his arms). Come on man, be better,” said Luka Doncic at the start.
This was only the third time in his career that he fouled out, and he doesn’t recall when the last time it happened.
“This doesn’t happen to me, I honestly don’t remember.”
Despite the lost game, the Mavericks had an impressive 20-2 run in the final quarter:
“We played in rhythm. We played good defense and in rhythm. Drive and kick basketball. That’s how we got back into the game,” Doncic concluded.
Game 4 of the NBA Finals is on Friday, and the Boston Celtics have three chances to seal the deal and win title No. 18.
