Bogdan Bogdanovic played fantastically during the 26 minutes he spent on the court. The former guard of Partizan, Fenerbahce, and Sacramento scored 26 points on the vibrant floor of the State Farm Center, shooting 10/15 from the field and making all four free throws. He also recorded 2 rebounds.
The only players more effective than him on the losing team were guards Trae Young (38 points, 13/17 from the field, 8 assists) and Dejounte Murray (28 points, 11/19 from the field, 5 assists, and 5 turnovers).
The American representative point guard, Tyrese Haliburton, continues his phenomenal season with the Pacers. He scored 37 points against the Hawks (11/18 from the field, 6/7 free throws), along with 5 rebounds, 16 assists, and 6 turnovers. He was followed by Buddy Hield with 24 points and Obi Toppin with 21 points.
Atlanta Hawks had a chance to secure the win in an exciting finish, but Murray missed the mark. It turned out that Hield’s three-pointer in the final minute decided the game.
After this triumph, Rick Carlisle’s Indiana Pacers hold a record of 8-5, while the Atlanta Hawks stand at 6-7. Perhaps more importantly than the record itself, this win has secured a place in the knockout phase of the NBA tournament for the Indianapolis team, as they have secured passage from Group A of the Eastern Conference.
Atlanta’s next game will be at home against Brooklyn Nets, while Indiana Pacers will host Toronto Raptors.
Tyrese Haliburton's ridiculous season continues!
