Crvena Zvezda basketball player, Adam Hanga, described his summer in an interview with “Sport Klub”, which was unique compared to some of the previous ones.
Hanga donned the red and white jersey after a period spent at Real Madrid, with whom he won the EuroLeague title.
“I wouldn’t say I was impatient, but this was the first summer during which I was a free agent. Normally, I would have already had a club and known where I was going. It’s important to me not so much for myself but for my family.
I wanted to make sure they were well, that everything was sorted, so I wanted to find a club as soon as possible. For example, I was in Belgrade with my family five times this summer as soon as I signed. We visited schools, looked for an apartment; I wanted everything to be in order when we arrived. It was a busy but exciting summer” – Hanga said.
The Hungarian national team player then revealed the secret to his success, as he has been a part of the EuroLeague scene for many years.
“Just be positive, always positive, and always try to help your teammates, lift them up. If you see someone has fallen a bit, reach out to them, have a chat, and give good advice, even in tough moments. When you need to provide constructive criticism or hold a teammate accountable for a mistake they might not have realized – it must be said.
This is how good chemistry is built within the team. These are the most important things. I’ve been a part of numerous teams, had many teammates, and I always strive to remain positive throughout the season. I have my ups and downs too, but I think I can control them quite well now” – Hanga said.
Crvena Zvezda’s EuroLeague competition begins on October 5th when they host Asvel.
