Adam Hanga spoke after the fifth-round EuroLeague game between Partizan and Crvena zvezda, sharing his impressions.
Partizan won with a score of 88:86 after a comeback. In his opening statement, Adam Hanga analyzed the events on the court.
We are very disappointed; we never want to lose, especially not in a derby. Life goes on, the good thing is that we will be playing against them again in a few days and have the opportunity to get our revenge.”
The Hungarian player reflected on the beginning of the game when his team was in a significant deficit.
“We were missing shots, they were making everything. We were nervous, missing easy opportunities. They capitalized on that and got easy points. The good thing is that we managed to get back into the game. We didn’t hang our heads and give up. We didn’t react to the referee’s decisions or the fans; we stayed focused and fought.”
In the final five minutes, the Red and Whites stumbled and missed the opportunity to secure a victory.
“In the closing moments, they made good decisions and hit some tough shots. That’s basketball. We lost the ball, missed shots, and Partizan knew how to capitalize on that. These are the games that everyone loves to play. The atmosphere was incredible, people in Serbia live for basketball. I’ve played many big games, but this is something special,” Hanga said.
