Experienced point guard Nemanja Gordic and Igokea have officially sealed their partnership, reuniting them after 10 years.
Gordic returns to Laktasi after a season with Romanian team Cluj, where he averaged 8.3 points per game in the domestic league. He found the EuroCup more to his liking, averaging 9.6 points per game in that competition.
Before his new stint with Igokea, Gordic trained with Monaco to prepare for the upcoming challenges.
The point guard is returning to the ABA League after a one-year hiatus, having previously played for Mornar two seasons ago. He spent two years with the Bar team before heading to Romania.
He made his biggest mark in the regional championship while playing for Partizan and Budućnost. With both teams, he won the Adriatic League, with his performances in the 2018 finals particularly memorable. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the series against Crvena Zvezda, and that year, Budućnost became champions of the ABA League for the first time in club history.
The Aleksandrovac club has already strengthened its roster with players like Marko Jeremić, Edin Atić, Jackie Carmichael, Stefan Moody, and Zoran Nikolić. They have also extended contracts with Marko Jošilo, Nikola Marić, and Haris Delalić, while promoting Dušan Makitan from the youth academy. Dragan Milosavljević will serve as the team captain in the upcoming season.
