Olympiacos has made a significant move by officially confirming the extension of Alec Peters contract.
This hasn’t been the best season for Olympiacos. It’s clear that the departures of Kostas Sloukas and Sasha Vezenkov have shaken the team, and the replacements during the summer haven’t proven adequate. This is evident both in the results and the style of play.
An additional problem has been the high number of injuries, particularly affecting Nikola Milutinov, who was expected to be one of the key players. However, the Serbian center has missed a significant portion of the season due to injuries, which has undoubtedly been a major setback for Olympiacos.
What is certainly encouraging is Alec Peters’ strong performance, and now he has been rewarded for it. It has been officially confirmed that he has extended his contract with the team for another two years, until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Peters is averaging 14.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 16.1 PIR over 25 EuroLeague games this season, which is great after a really bad stats during the last season(4.6 points and 4.5 PIR per game).
Peters began his professional path in the Phoenix Suns and the Northern Arizona Suns in G League. After that, he moved to Europe, where he played for CSKA, Anadolu Efes and Baskonia.
