Aleksej Pokusevski, a player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, has suffered a new injury. This time, he sprained his right ankle.
The Serbian NBA player has sprained his right ankle, and his injury will be assessed for a period of 6 weeks. It is highly likely that he will miss the beginning of the season.
During most of the summer, Pokusevski was rehabilitating a broken forearm that he sustained during a training session in June of this year. Because of this injury, he missed the FIBA World Cup where the Serbian national team won a silver medal.
Additionally, during the past season, the former Olympiacos player missed three months due to a broken tibia. He played in only 34 games, averaging 8.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and two assists per game.
Pokusevski was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2020. While wearing the blue jersey, he even recorded a triple-double, making him one of the youngest players ever to achieve this feat in NBA history. In the coming year, he will be joined by his compatriot Vasilije Micic on the team.
