Alen Smailagic, the Serbian player, is no longer a Partizan player after three seasons with the team, the club has confirmed.
It has been rumored for some time that Alen Smailagic would leave the black and whites, and now the story has reached its conclusion. The Serbian center is expected to soon become a member of Zalgiris.
Posle tri sezone, naš Alen Smailagić će promeniti dres! Jedan od momaka koji su na prečac osvojili srca navijača Partizana i bili deo tima koji je vratio titulu regionalnog prvaka, nakon isteka ugovora napušta klub!

Smailagic joined Partizan directly from the NBA, from the Golden State Warriors, and also played for the Santa Cruz Warriors and Beko.
“After three seasons, our Alen Smailagic will change jerseys! One of the guys who quickly won the hearts of Partizan fans and was part of the team that brought back the regional champion title, is leaving the club after his contract expired,” the club’s statement read.
This season, he played 23 matches in the ABA league, averaging 5.3 points and 2.1 rebounds. In the EuroLeague, he played 31 games, averaging 5.5 points and 2.2 rebounds.
Partizan has officially parted ways with Kevin Punter, Ognjen Jaramaz, and Zach LeDay so far, while the contracts of Danilo Andjusic, Uros Trifunovic, PJ Dozier, Frank Kaminsky, James Nunnally, and Jaleen Smith have expired, and their future is still uncertain.
The black and whites have so far strengthened with three players, as Vanja Marinkovic, Iffe Lundberg, and Frank Ntilikina have joined the club.
