Anadolu Efes is set to strengthen its roster with the addition of the basketball player from Merkezefendi, Daniel Oturu.
Due to frequent injuries, Erdem Can and the sports sector of Anadolu Efes have decided to work on expanding the roster, as evidenced by the signing of Mike Daum.
According to Eurohoops information, the Turkish team has decided not to stop there, and soon Daniel Oturu will join the ranks of the team from Istanbul.
It is expected that the center from Merkezefendi will officially announce his collaboration with Anadolu Efes during the next week, a partnership that will last until the end of the current season.
Daniel Oturu was drafted as the 33rd pick in the second round by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2020, but a trade to the Los Angeles Clippers quickly followed. He spent the majority of his career ‘across the pond’ in the G League (Windy City Bulls), concluding his NBA stint as a player for the Toronto Raptors.
The American center has stood out in the Turkish Super League with an average of 20.9 points and 10.1 rebounds.
Anadolu Efes faces a double round in the EuroLeague next week, with Panathinaikos and Alba Berlin as their opponents.
