Tibor Pleiss had a fantastic start to the game, being the key player in Anadolu Efes’ 6:0 lead. Barcelona couldn’t find their rhythm by the end of the quarter, and the Turkish team went into the first break with a lead by 18:13. Willy Hernangomez led Barcelona to a comeback in the second quarter, but the joy for the Catalans was short-lived. Daniel Oturu and Shane Larkin, with good sequences, gave Turkish team a three-point lead at halftime (42:39).
Rodrigue Beaubois was unstoppable during the third quarter, resulting in Anadolu Efes taking the lead 72:60. Erdem Can‘s team took complete control of the game from the beginning of the fourth quarter. A crucial moment was when Turkish team made an 11:0 run, securing the important win.
Anadolu Efes now holds the 15th position in the standings with a record of nine wins and 13 losses. Barcelona remains second on the table with a record of 15-7.
In the next round, Anadolu Efes will host Monaco, while Barcelona will face Milano.
