The Hall of Fame is one of the biggest accolades in the NBA, but Andre Drummond believes he deserves it.
When we talk about players who are in serious decline, one of them is Andre Drummond. The former All-Star player has changed a large number of teams in the last three years, but that obviously hasn’t shaken his confidence. In an interview with The Comfortable Pod, he pointed out that he considers himself the best rebounder ever:
“I used to play 40-plus minutes. I was a star – All-Star, All-NBA, I’ve done it. Hall of Fame candidate, best rebounder ever… I’m the best ever. I’ve done great in my career.
I think I have a chance to be a Hall of Fame player due to what I’ve done in my career. Actually, I’m pretty sure I’m in the Top 20 for being in the Hall of Fame, so I have a great chance.“
Drummond was renowned as one of the NBA’s premier rebounders, earning the title of rebounding champion four times (2016, 2018-20) and making two All-Star appearances (2016, 2018). He averages 12.7 rebounds throughout his NBA career and 785 appearances.
However, since leaving the Detroit Pistons, the center has not been performing well. In the last three seasons, he played for the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Brooklyn Nets. During the season behind us, he averaged only six points and 6.6 rebounds
