The team from Los Angeles started the game better, but the Indiana Pacers made a run of 13:2, securing themselves an advantage going into the first short break – 36:30. The second half of the second quarter belonged entirely to the Lakers, who seized the momentum and took a four-point lead by the end of the half – 72:68.
In the third period, the difference soon became double-digit, and the Lakers’ lead of 116:99 suggested that the home team would clinch the win. Despite the Pacers‘ better performance during the last 12 minutes, the Lakers managed to maintain their lead and secure an important triumph.
Anthony Davis led the Lakers to win with 36 points, LeBron James with 26, Spencer Dinwiddie with 26, and Austin Reaves with 25 points scored. This is the first time in the last three years that we’ve seen a situation where four players from the same team finish the game with 25 or more points.
Pascal Siakam stood out for the Indiana Pacers with 36 points and 12 rebounds.
The Los Angeles Lakers are now ninth in the Western Conference with a record of 39-32, while the Indiana Pacers are sixth in the East with 40 wins and 32 losses.
