Anthony Edwards, player of the Minnesota Timberwolves, spoke at the press conference after another loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
It’s been a very tough series for the Timberwolves so far. Much was expected from the team that eliminated the reigning champions, but the Mavericks have shown superior quality in three games. The Timberwolves have no answers for Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, and on the other end, Anthony Edwards isn’t delivering as expected. The playmaker tried to stay positive after the game.
“I never think the sky is falling. I’m always positive, always happy. Been through the works, so the sky’s never falling for me. We can’t be anything but positive at this point. We can’t be negative. Try to get one win at a time“, Edwards said.
Edwards also had criticisms about the officiating, specifically pointing out the disparity in the number of free throws taken.
“31 to 17. They had 31 free throws, we had 17… They did a great job tonight, we just ask for the same calls. Honestly, a lot of my fouls were fouls. But it’s about consistency on both ends. That’s all that we ask for at the end of the day.”
