Anthony Edwards played another great game in his Minnesota Timberwolves’ win over the Phoenix Suns by 116:122.
The NBA series involving the Minnesota Timberwolves has been exceptional. They’ve shown that their position at the top throughout the season is no fluke and that they possess tremendous quality. They left the Phoenix Suns winless, with Anthony Edwards being one of the key contributors to that success. He revealed his relationship with Kevin Durant during a press conference.
“It’s a special feeling to knock Kevin Durant out of the playoffs. I have immense respect for him, especially because he gives his all night after night on the court. Man, I’ve been watching every one of his games since I was five years old.
I love him, and I’m excited to play alongside him for the United States national team. I’ll be able to talk all kinds of trash to him because I sent him home from the playoffs.”
He amused the reporters during the conference by sending a message to his teammate, Karl-Anthony Towns, advising him to commit fewer fouls as they greatly needed him.
“Let me just say something. Tonight, Karl-Anthony Towns didn’t have issues with personal fouls. In the first three games, he kept fouling. He remembers what I told him in the last game. Don’t get into foul trouble. Man, stop doing that.
You’ve watched the games. Every time, they made a difference in the third quarter because he was on the bench. This game, he didn’t do that. I’ll always say this: he’s the most complete offensive player on our team. He can do it all, just stop with that”, Edwards said.
