Facundo Campazzo, a member of Real Madrid, was awarded the individual recognition for the MVP of the second games of the EuroLeague quarterfinal series.
Real Madrid, as the current champion of the elite competition, is on track to reach the Final Four again. They lead 2-0 in the series against Baskonia. The second game was marked by the former Denver Nuggets player and returnee to the Spanish capital. He achieved a performance of 22 points, seven assists, and four rebounds. He was fouled five times and shot 7/9 from the field for an efficiency index of 33.
In doing so, he became the third oldest Argentine in EuroLeague history to achieve an efficiency index greater than 30.
At the top of that list is the legendary Andres Nocioni. He accomplished this at 34 years and 131 days old. Second is former Real Madrid player, now with Barcelona, Nicolas Laprovittola (33 years and 304 days).
Facundo Campazzo was 33 years and 33 days old on the day of the game against Baskonia, with Pablo Prigioni and Fabricio Oberto following behind him. An interesting fact is that the first of the four mentioned has played for Real Madrid at some point in his career.
