Arturo Alvarez is set to become a vital addition to Duško Ivanović’s coaching staff at Crvena Zvezda, as confirmed by the Spanish coach himself.
Alvarez’s inclusion in the ranks of the coaching team comes as he takes over the responsibilities previously held by Carles Marco, who has chosen to further his career as an assistant under Roger Grimau at Barcelona.
Expressing his gratitude, Alvarez took to social media to extend his appreciation to the Wasserman agency, which represents him, as well as to Duško Ivanović, the head coach of Crvena Zvezda:
“I extend my heartfelt thanks to the exceptional agency that believed in me every step of the way, one of the best clubs in the world for providing me the opportunity to work within their organization, and especially to one of the finest coaches in the world, Duško Ivanović, who allowed me to stand beside him. With tremendous enthusiasm, we look forward to beginning our work and enjoying our sport, basketball!” Alvarez conveyed.
A distinguished figure in the basketball coaching circuit, Alvarez has previously led teams such as Palencia, Benfica, Prat, BMV 2012, and the Brazilian outfit Unitri over the course of his career.
As Crvena Zvezda prepares for the upcoming challenges on the court, the addition of Arturo Alvarez to the coaching staff marks an important step in their pursuit of excellence. With the guidance of experienced mentors like Duško Ivanović, the team is poised to continue its quest for success in the basketball arena.
