In the 28th round of the LNB Pro A, Asvel secured a convincing win against Nanterre with a score of 100:76 in the round’s derby.
The Sunday of the LNB Pro A started with a surprising loss for Monaco. Then, EuroLeague team Asvel and EuroCup finalist Bourg took to the court, not allowing a similar scenario for their opponents.
Asvel achieved a comfortable victory at home in the round’s derby, which was considered a tough match on paper since they were the third and fifth teams on the table. However, this match showed a significant difference between them. Asvel already had a decent lead of 19 points at halftime, leading 53:34.
In the third quarter, the visitors gained momentum and reduced the deficit going into the final quarter. Then, in the last quarter, the home team regained their level of play and secured a 24-point victory.
Edwin Jackson led the scoring for the home team with 22 points, followed by Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrott and Youssoupha Fall, who contributed 18 points each. On the other side, Lucas Dossoulier scored 13 points, while Joel Ayayi and Justin Bibbins added 12 points each.
Bourg continued their strong performances in the domestic championship. Although they faced the second-to-last team in the league – ADA Blois, they played seriously from the start and secured a 81:66 victory.
E.J. Rowland led Bourg’s scoring with 15 points, followed by Bryce Brown with one point less, and JeQuan Lewis with 11 points. In the defeated team, recording their 20th loss, Brice Dessert scored 18 points, while Armel Traore added 11 points.
