Asvel secured their 24th win of the season in the Round 33 of the LNB Pro A by defeating Le Portel, with Youssoupha Fall leading the team from Lyon.
In the first quarter, it was evident that Pierric Poupet’s team was fully committed to this game. They quickly gained an 11-point lead, ending the first ten minutes by 28:17. They maintained their advantage in the second quarter, leading 44:36 at halftime.
The game continued in the same rhythm, with Asvel keeping a comfortable lead throughout. At one point, they were up by 17 points, and Le Portel couldn’t threaten the home team’s win.
Youssoupha Fall was instrumental for Asvel, scoring 21 points and grabbing six rebounds. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot contributed with 12 points. On the other side, Edon Maxhuni scored 18 points, followed by Bryson Gresham with 14. In the other game of the day, Le Mans dominated Limoges by 101:75.
