Asvel secured another win in the LNB Pro A league, defeating Limoges 77:66 at home and securing their 16th win.
The first half of the game was quite unusual. The host won the first quarter 28:15, suggesting an easy win. However, Asvel completely stalled in the second quarter. Limoges managed to make a comeback and equalize the score at 41:41 by halftime. Yet, Pierric Poupert’s team left nothing to chance. They played a much tighter defense in the second half, allowing only 25 points. They reached a +9 lead at the end of the third quarter and maintained that advantage comfortably until the end of the game.
Youssoupha Fall played a pivotal role in Asvel’s triumph with 18 points and 14 rebounds, closely followed by Paris Lee with 15 points. In Limoges’ team, Lucas Beaufort was the top scorer with 18 points.
With this win, Asvel remains in the second position with a record of 16-5, while Limoges currently has 7 wins and 12 losses, placing them in the 14th position in the LNB Pro A league.
In the first game of the day, Chalon hosted Gravelines, and the home team comfortably secured a win by 79:63. Demonte Harper was the top scorer with 19 points in the winning team, receiving significant support from Lionel Gaudoux, who scored 17 points and contributed 10 rebounds and 6 assists. In the losing team, Thomas Cornely reached 12 points.
After this win, Chalon has a record of 9 wins and 13 losses, securing the 12th position, while Gravelines is second to last with 6 wins and 14 losses.
