Asvel made history by defeating Valencia in the 33rd round of the EuroLeague, achieving something unprecedented in history.
According to data available since the 2007/2008 season, the French club created the longest scoring run in a single EuroLeague game. At one point, the scoreboard at La Fonteta showed 38:44. A few minutes later, Asvel led 69:38, marking a 25-0 run, which stands as the longest in recent competition history.
In this game, Nando De Colo became the second all-time leading scorer in the competition. Recently, Mike James claimed the top spot after surpassing Vassilis Spanoulis. The Greek legend now occupies the third position.
The list of longest scoring runs without points from one of the teams also includes some interesting names that have not been EuroLeague participants for quite some time. The 2023/2024 season may not be fondly remembered by Asvel, but they have secured their place in the competition’s history books.
