Asvel defeated Saint Quentin in Game 2 of the LNB Pro A quarterfinals. The visitors triumphed 92:89.
The game did not start well for the visitors, as indicated by the first quarter. The team in blue started the game excellently and had a nine-point lead after the first ten minutes. The team in black tried to come back into the game and managed to cut the deficit in half. However, Saint-Quentin hit two consecutive three-pointers and regained a double-digit lead by halftime.

This gave a small hint that a comeback might be possible. The players of the French EuroLeague team tried with all their might to settle the game. They succeeded, managing to tie the game by hitting four free throws at the end.
Overtime ensued, and the game was decided by free throws. The more experienced team had better concentration and secured their place in the semifinals.
Mike Scott was the best player for Asvel. The experienced American scored 19 points. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot had two fewer. For Saint-Quentin, Nolan Traore stood out with 25 points. Melvin Ajinca scored 14. In the semifinals, Asvel’s opponent will be the winner of the Paris-Cholet series.
