Panathinaikos secured a 91-80 victory against Krka from Novo Mesto in their first preseason game of the season, which was held in Kranjska Gora.
Krka was a competitive opponent in the first quarter, which they ultimately won 22-20. The team from Novo Mesto continued their strong performance and maintained a small four-point lead at halftime, with the score at 47-43.
Gasper Okorn’s team had the advantage even after the third quarter, leading 74-69. This was the third preseason game for Krka, and it was evident that they were more cohesive. However, Panathinaikos turned the game around in the final 10 minutes, during which Krka only scored six points, leading Ergin Ataman’s team to victory.
Alexander Balcerowski led his team to victory with 21 points, while Luca Vildoza contributed 13 points. Leon Stergar was the top scorer for Krka with 18 points.
Panathinaikos is still not complete with its roster due to some of their basketball players participating in the World Cup.
