Bahcesehir has suffered their fifth consecutive loss in the Turkish Super League, this time falling to Turk Telekom with a score of 92-90.
Bahcesehir maintained the lead practically throughout the entire game, with the margin extending to as much as plus 18 in favor of the home team. However, it seems that was not enough to secure the win. The team, led by coach Dejan Radonjic, held a 10-point lead with two minutes remaining in the match (79-69), but the visitors managed a 12-2 run to force overtime. Turk Telekom ultimately sealed the game with a three-pointer seven seconds before the end of the game.
Axel Bouteille was the top scorer for Bahcesehir with 26 points, while Tyrone Wallace stood out for Turk Telekom with 27 points.
Turk Telekom currently sits in eighth place with a record of 9-11, while Bahcesehir is in 12th place with seven wins and 13 losses.
There’s no doubt that Radonjic’s team will need to start winning urgently in the national league if they want to avoid the relegation battle. It’s worth noting that Merkezefendi, currently in 16th place (relegation zone), has a record of 6-13.
