Markus Howard has received an offer from Baskonia to extend his contract until the summer of 2028, with an emphasis on improving his financial terms.
As reported by El Correo, Markus Howard currently has a valid contract with Baskonia until the summer of 2026, but the team from Vitoria is prepared to offer an extension to their top player until 2028 right after the end of the current season.
Markus Howard’s earnings from 2023 to 2026 are estimated at 3,700,000 euros, as revealed by Perez de Arrilucea. Of course, the new two-year contract would be significantly more lucrative, but the buyout clause would also be higher accordingly, currently set at 1,300,000 euros.
Markus Howard was recently named the top scorer of the season in the EuroLeague. The American averaged 19.5 points per game.
