On their home court, Bayern clinched a win against Hamburg with a final score of 90:79 in the Bundesliga. Interestingly, they faced a lot of challenges in the opening minutes of the game as well. Hamburg took a six-point lead in the first quarter, but the EuroLeague team showed their strength as the game progressed.
After winning the second period with a score of 26:10, they had a double-digit lead by halftime. They didn’t allow any surprises in the closing moments and secured their second victory of the season. Following a surprising loss to Oldenburg, Bayern now holds a 2-1 record.
The credit for this victory largely goes to the French playmaker, Sylvain Francisco, who scored 18 points along with two rebounds and assists each. Andreas Obst contributed 16 points, and NBA addition Serge Ibaka chipped in with 15 points. On the opposing side, Williams Christmas led the way with 18 points.
It’s worth noting that the injured Vladimir Lucic did not participate in this match. In the upcoming round of the Bundesliga, Bayern will face Crailsheim, while Hamburg will host the reigning champion, Ulm.
Chemnitz secured their second consecutive victory after an initial loss, defeating Braunschweig with a score of 86:81.
Kaza Kajami-Keane led them to victory with 23 points, and Kevin Yebo had a solid performance with 19 points and eight rebounds. In the losing team, Nicolas Tischler scored 18 points.
Braunschweig will be on the road against Wurzburg in the fourth round of the Bundesliga, while Chemnitz will host Gottingen.
