Bayern Munich secured a victory in the Bundesliga with an away win against Rostock, while Bamberg defeated Alba Berlin on their home court.
Pablo Laso’s team returned to the winning track. After losses to Italian teams in a double round of the EuroLeague, Bayern Munich defeated Rostock by 80-90. The Bavarians established a double-digit lead in the first quarter, maintaining it throughout the entire game.
Rostock attempted a comeback early in the second half, but the visitors from Munich thwarted the surge, and the outcome of the game was not in question until the end. Bayern successfully fended off any potential runs by the hosts, securing their tenth win of the season.
Devin Booker and Carsen Edwards led the winning team with 14 points each. On the other side, Tyler Nelson stood out with 17 points.
The surprise of the day was the convincing defeat of Alba by Bamberg with a score of 97-77. After the first half, nothing hinted at the epic disaster for the visiting team. The Berlin team had an eight-point lead at halftime, but it’s challenging to explain what happened in the next 20 minutes.
First, Bamberg managed to take the lead after 30 minutes of play and entered the decisive period with a one-point advantage. There, Alba’s defense was non-existent. The guests allowed 36 points while scoring only 17. Bamberg capitalized on every mistake they made, ultimately winning by a convincing 20-point margin.
Zach Copeland led the winning team with 24 points, while Adrian Nelson contributed 18. On the other side, Sterling Brown scored 21 points.
Alba is now in fifth place with a record of eight wins and four losses, while Bamberg is in 12th place with six wins and nine losses.
