BC Wolves defeated Rytas on the road by 96:85, taking a 1-0 lead in the semi-finals of the Lithuanian Basketball League.
Already in the first quarter, BC Wolves surged to a double-digit lead. However, Rytas didn’t give up, and by halftime, they managed to reduce the visitors’ lead to 46:41. The third quarter was crucial for this game, as BC Wolves once again built a double-digit lead, leading 72:58 heading into the final ten minutes. The hosts tried to mount a comeback but were unsuccessful, making it clear that they would trail in the series after Game 1.
The top scorer for the winning team was Rasheed Sulaimon with 18 points, followed by Regimantas Miniotas and Kristupas Zemaitis, each with 13 points. In Rytas, the best performer was Gytis Radzevicius with 16 points, while Justin Gorham added 15.
The semi-finals of the Lithuanian Basketball League are played in a best-of-five format. In the next game, BC Wolves will be the host on May 24th, starting at 17:50.
