In the Turkish Super League 23rd round, Besiktas secured a win on the road against Petkim Spor by 58:70.
It was another fantastic game for Besiktas. After experiencing two losses, they managed to get back on the winning track. They started their visit to Petkim Spor excellently, especially defensively, conceding only nine points and gaining a 13-point lead. However, they experienced an inexplicable drop in the second quarter, allowing the home team to reduce the deficit to three points by halftime.
In the third quarter, we saw improved defense from both sides, but Besiktas couldn’t pull away, entering the decisive 10 minutes with just a one-point lead. However, they replicated their first-quarter performance there. Their defense was superb, and the home team scored only 11 points in 10 minutes. Thanks to that, Besiktas secured their 18th win of the season in the Turkish Super Lig.
Kyle Allman was the top scorer for the winning team with 19 points, followed by Jonah Mathews with 16. On the other side, Jeremy Simmons contributed 12 points.
Besiktas currently holds a record of 18 wins and 5 losses and will host Pinar Karsiyaka in their last round at home, while Petkim Spor (12-11) will welcome Fenerbahce.
