Under the leadership of Dusan Alimpijevic, Besiktas advanced to the semifinals with two decisive wins. After triumphing in the first game 92-74, a similar scenario played out in the second game on Manisa’s court.
The home team put up resistance in the first quarter, ending it with a two-point lead. However, Besiktas dominated the next two quarters. By halftime, the Istanbul team led 45-33, and they settled the outcome after the third quarter. Going into the last 10 minutes, they had an insurmountable 71-49 lead.
In the final quarter, Besiktas relaxed, allowing the home team to narrow the gap, ultimately ending their season with a respectable nine-point loss.
Kyle Allman led the winning team with 17 points, Derek Needham contributed 15 points, and Yigit Arslan and Jonah Mathews each added 12 points.
On the other side, former Crvena Zvezda player Emanuel Terry was the best with 17 points, Daron Russell, a former Mornar player, scored 15 points, and Ryan Luther had 11 points along with an impressive 18 rebounds.
Besiktas will face Fenerbahce in the semifinals, who also advanced with a 2-0 victory over Petkim Spor.
