In an interview for the EuroLeague’s YouTube channel, Bogdan Bogdanovic spoke about Partizan and Fenerbahce.
The Atlanta Hawks player said it’s a great thing that Partizan has returned to the EuroLeague.
“I love that Partizan is back in the EuroLeague. I think the Euroleague needs it, basketball needs it. It’s a unique place to play basketball, the atmosphere and everything there…You can tell by the guys who played in Partizan, when they leave, their comments are all you need to know about that place. All the best I can think of.”
Bogdan Bogdanovic also spoke about the change of head coach at Fenerbahce, where Sarunas Jasikevicius replaced Dimitris Itoudis.
“Every time a new head coach came to the club during my career, it was always positive for the team because there’s always a player reaction. I think Sarunas is experienced, this is his second team in the EuroLeague, he definitely leads the team differently, I like the way he coaches, how they play… I think they can play faster, much faster, but he will achieve that.”
At the end of the conversation, Bogdanovic also commented on the chances of Partizan and Fenerbahce making it to the EuroLeague Final Four.
“Partizan needs to raise their game a bit if they want to play in the Final Four. Right now they’re in 10th place or fighting for 10th place, but I really want to see that. I’ve missed a few games because I’ve had training here, but whenever I can watch Partizan or Fenerbahce, those are my favorite games.”
Bogdanovic is playing brilliantly in the current NBA season, as evidenced by his average of 16.8 points per game.
